46 lbs of clothing, lots of excitement and a bundle of nerves!

The trip has started for me. I left Blacksburg and headed to Tri Cities airport in Tennessee early this morning. I had a short layover (and a long walk) to my connection in Atlanta and now I've landed in Miami. We'll be flying with a Brazilian airline for the rest of the trip and their employees were very nice as I checked in for the flight. I haven't seen (or met!) any of the other team members yet. We are all flying from our home airports to Miami and our flights arrived all throughout the afternoon and evening. Getting through security has been a breeze today for me! No long lines, no beeping detection machines, and no cavity searches in the "little room" - I'd say this is the good security experience tri-fecta!

So here I sit at the gate, anxiously awaiting the rest of the team.
